2023 YZ65 Cup – registrations now open

By March 19, 2024 No Comments
Yamaha Motor Australia in conjunction with Motorcycling Australia is pleased to announce the return of the popular one model junior MX experience – the YZ65 Cup.

The event designed for 9 to 12-year olds was introduced in 2018 and has remained a must-ride for keen moto groms. Two rounds have been confirmed at the ProMX national race series at Appin, NSW on 19 March and Toowoomba Motocross Club, QLD on 25 June.

YZ65 Cup is more than a race series, it’s a celebration of motocross designed to offer participants and their families a money-can’t-buy experience, and with unparalleled access to YMA’s professional MX race teams, each YZ65 Cup participant is rewarded with memories that last a lifetime.

The ethos of Yamaha’s YZ65 Cup is to make every rider and his or her family feel like they are part of the Yamaha factory race team, courtesy of the unique bLU cRU wide range of benefits.

“Since its inception in 2018, the YZ65 Cup has provided more than 200 young riders the opportunity to feel what it’s like to be a factory Yamaha rider for the day. We are once again excited to offer this opportunity at two rounds of the 2023 ProMX championship,” explains YMA Head of Marketing Nick Marshall.

“The concept of the YZ65 Cup is to provide a fun and stress-free environment for riders of all skill levels with an experience they will never forget. Regardless of if you finish first or last, our aim is for every rider and their parents to leave the track with a massive smile on their face,” he continues.

Yamaha values the safety of all riders and aims to make the YZ65 Cup a fun and rewarding experience for all riders. Prior to submitting an entry, parents are asked to assess their child’s riding skills to determine if they will be comfortable riding in a competitive environment. Accordingly, all riders must have a current MA licence and are asked to submit a resumé.

YMA is committed to supporting grassroots dirt bike riding and will ensure the YZ65 Cup receives extensive media coverage, so why not help your young guns get on the grid by registering interest below:
