YMA has revealed the new YDX-Moro 07 e-MTB at Australia’s biggest cycling event, the Santos Tour Down Under.

This event is held annually in Adelaide, SA in January and kicks off the UCI World Tour, featuring the world’s best cycling teams and riders. As part of YMA’s sponsorship involvement, ten Niken LMWs have been supplied to the Tour organisers to use as event vehicles to direct traffic, assist teams and capture all the live action. YMA is also sponsoring the Most Competitive Rider category of the race. The Tour can be seen live on free-to-air TV’s Seven Network.

“YMA’s involvement with the Tour Down Under is an extension of Yamaha Motor Europe’s partnership with the Grand Tour races such as the Tour de France, La Vuelta and the Giro d’Italia,” explains YMA Land Mobility Sales and Marketing General Manager Matthew Ferry. “Yamaha’s Niken Leaning Multi Wheeler is used as a support vehicle in each of these events and the model is widely admired by the organisers for its performamce, versatility and stability,” he continues.

In addition to the abundant exposure the Tour offers to Yamaha’s LMW flagship model, the event also marks the first Australian appearance of Yamaha’s new e-MTB – the YDX-Moro 07. This pedal assist mountain bike features our new compact PW-X3 drive unit and heralds the arrival of an exciting new category for Yamaha dealers. The Moro 07 is due to go on sale in Australia in the next few months when more details will be revealed.

The Santos Tour Down Under is more than a race – it’s a 10-day festival of cycling that includes a Tour village in the heart of the city  –  where YMA has a product display showcasing the new Moro e-MTB as well as marine products designed to appeal to the many outdoor enthusiasts attending.
